COVID-19: An Update from Your Trusted Campervan Partner in Iceland

Updated 19/9/2020

With the outbreak of COVID-19 around the world good information is key.

Our main priority has always been providing our customers with excellent service and to keep well informed.

All arriving passengers can choose between a 14-day quarantine or a double testing procedure along with a quarantine for 5-6 days.

A person under quarantine should stay in their base of quarantine and have contact
with as few people as possible.

  • The base of quarantine must have a permanent fixed address with private hygiene
facilities for each individual or family members who quarantine together.
  • Use of mobile accommodations, such as a tent or camper van or similar is not
allowed due to the requirement for private hygiene facilities and travel
restrictions inherent in quarantine. Read more

Current and Future Bookings

If you’ve already got a booking with Go Campers, instead of cancelling, you can now change the dates to later in the year or next year.

Postponing instead of cancelling also helps you avoid the exchange and transaction fees that occur via a refund. Plus, the exchange rates against the Icelandic Krona are currently some of the highest they’ve been in a very long time. That means that when you do eventually get to Iceland, your Euros, USD and GBP will be worth much more than normal. Travelling Iceland on a budget just got a whole lot easier.

Our Cancellation Policy

If things haven’t returned to normal by the time your new booking rolls around, our cancellation policy still applies. That means if you decide to cancel your trip with more than 48 hours’ notice, you will be fully refunded. Or you can also just change your dates again if you’d like.

We’re a strong company that will weather the storm.

In Iceland, we’re used to weathering storms, and this is shaping up to be a big one. Luckily, we’re in a strong position to handle this situation – much better than many other companies in the industry. For the past two years, Go Campers has been recognized as one of Iceland's strongest companies according to credit rating company Creditinfo. We are proud of being one of the selected 2% of Icelandic companies that meet their requirements.

A trusted and fair company

Our main priority has always been you, our customers. That’s why we’re working overtime to help keep your Icelandic trips alive and well, and why we don’t have one bad online review where people are questioning the way they have been treated. We’re here to help and will keep you updated on the current station as it unfolds in Iceland.
